Common Questions

When is the best time to book a newborn session?

The ideal time to book your newborn session is before your baby arrives, preferably during your second or third trimester. This ensures your due date is reserved on our calendar while allowing the flexibility to schedule your in-home session once your little one has made their arrival. Most newborn sessions take place within the first 7–21 days after birth.

What if my baby doesn't sleep?

Don't worry! While sleepy newborns allow for certain poses, beautiful images can still be created with awake babies. We'll work with your little one's personality and comfort throughout the session.

Do I need to clean my entire house?

Not at all. We only need a small area to set up our equipment. There's no expectation that your home be spotless—we're there to photograph your newest addition, not inspect your home.

Do I need to provide props or backdrops?

No. We bring everything needed to create a fully styled newborn session, including props, wraps, blankets, backdrops, lighting, and posing equipment. If you have a sentimental item you'd like to include, we'll gladly incorporate it.

What if my baby cries?

That's completely normal! Feeding, soothing, cuddling, and diaper changes are all expected and built into the session. We work around your baby's needs to create a relaxed experience for everyone.

What if my baby needs to eat during the session?

That's completely expected! Newborn sessions are baby-led, which means we'll pause whenever your little one needs to eat, be changed, or simply enjoy a cuddle. There's never any pressure to rush.
